Motorcycle Repair: 94 katana 750 clutch problem, clutch cable, adjustment screw

was riding the bike the other day and it was shifting great.as i road a little further i noticed the adjustment screw at the lever was loose.i tightend it up and it came loose again.i reached down to tighten it up and it fell off.i was moving when this happened so i didn't stop just road it home.bought a new one put it on and now the clutch want dissengauge when i pull the clutch in.pulled the left side at the gear shifter apart and noticed that the rod was bent.but everything will push through fine and the rods are not catching on anythingbut when you put the pressure plate back on and everything else together it will not dissengauge when you pull the clutch inplease help before i burn it.thanks

Hi Chris...

Sounds like you need to replace that clutch push rod. If the rod is bent at all, it's length is effectively shortened and it will not be able to reach. Change the rod and make sure the clutch cable is properly adjusted. Hope this helps!!
