Motorcycle Repair: 2003 Honda Shadow VLX 600 baffles, honda shadow vlx 600, exhaust gas analyzer

Hi, I bought a 2003 Honda Shadow VLX 600 last summer and I'm looking to get a little more volume out of it by possibly drilling or removing the baffles.  I was curious as to your knowledge of this procedure because I personally don't know much about it.  First off, would you recommend this?  Secondly, how would I go about removing them if this is a good idea and thirdly, would I need to do any further modification of any sorts to the motorcycle after drilling/removal of the baffles?  Any information that you can provide me with would be greatly apprecaited.  Thanks!

NO on most imported bike even removing the air cleaner element will make them run like crap.If you do I am sure you will get more interest from local Law Enforcement.An after market exhaust system would be the way to go.Even with this jetting changes will be required.I do mine with an exhaust gas analyzer.
