Motorcycle Repair: CB100N not running right, fuel tanks, petcock

Question
My CB100N will start and tick over fine, when stationary it even goes up to
full revs fine, my problem starts when you are moving , when you open the
throttle out it just bogs down, it will keep going but can not get up to full
revs, when i clean the carb and reassemble it will have, one great drive, then
get bogged down, its got a new battery and plug on so i think it has
something to do with the fuel tank, either not enough fuel moving through,
or dirt in the tank,
Have you got any ideas?

Answer
The fuel tanks are not lined from the factory.Remove the fuel from the tank and look inside. If you see any rust inside you will have to remove the tank and clean it.Your local dealer has the stuff to do it.When the tank is off remove the petcock and clean the screen out. I have see them packed with rust.I would also clean your carb again.I would take your carb to a shop and have it cleaned! I have been doing carb work for over 20 years and if not done RIGHT they will not work.
