how do you change the spark plugs on a 85 honda shadow vt 1100

Answer
Matthew,

-pull your spark plug wires off the plugs,
-blow any debris around the plug away
with compressed air if possible.
-Use a deep 18mm spark plug socket
to remove the old plugs.(turn anti-clockwise)
-use new NGK DPR7EA-9 plugs.
-Set the gap between the electrodes at .035"
-lube the plug threads lightly.
-install the new plugs using a piece of
rubber hose on the end if necessary to
reach into the hole.
-tighten finger tight and then another 1/2 turn
or so. (10 ft-lbs)
-do not overtighten as the engine head is aluminum
and soft enough to strip the threads easily.
-put the plug wires back on.
-thats all!
