Motorcycle Repair: Removing Air Cleaner Holder, rubber tubes, seat on top

Question
Wayne :
I Have A 1969 CL125a Honda. I have read all the books i have on this motorcycle and none of them tell me how to remove the air cleaner holder attached to the carb.

It is a long rubber tube that is up in the frame. The Air cleaner unit goes inside.

I Have Found no breaks in the housing for the air cleaner.

I Have 2 Of These machines and Had to about destroy one housing to get it out.

Thanks For Your Help

Answer
Steven,

-these rubber tubes get hard over time
and it makes them tough to work with.
-There might be two screws under the seat
on top of the frame that holds the tube
up at the rear. Warming the tube up
can make it more flexible. Maybe a
hot water soak.
Other than that it is just a wrestling
match.
