Motorcycle Repair: 1991 Kawasaki EX 500, kawasaki ex 500, inline filters

Hello wayne i have a 91 Kawasaki EX 500 started when i sprayed starter fluid into the air intake and idled for about 10 seconds then shut off every time i did i tried it it runs for 10 seconds then quits. could you please tell me what i need to do.

-start checking the fuel system.
Add fresh gas, check the fuel
valve or petcock. Check fuel lines
to the carbs and any inline filters.

-You can try draining the carbs and
see if they refill after cranking
the engine a few turns.

-The jets in the carbs are likely gummed
up and not allowing any fuel through.

-if the carbs are getting fuel and
it won't run you may need to remove
and clean the carb jets thoroughly.
