Motorcycle Repair: Sportster battery., lead acid battery, amp hours

Question
The battery on my 2004 Sportster 1200C is showing signs of giving up the ghost.  Would it be better to replace it (Gel) with a conventional lead acid battery, and what amp/hour please.? I would like to get a good quality battery, as powerful as possible, to cope with cold starting a 1200 engine.

I would go with the gel battery. You dont have to worry about over flow on it and they last longer. Amp/hours on batteries are all different by manufacture so I can t comment on that. I would recomment getting a battery conditioner for your bike. It keeps the battery fully charged all the time and makes the battery last longer
