Question
not sure if u can help or not, i thought my fule pump went out, so i got a new one and put it on, and it worked fine for about 20 mins, then it quit, is it supposed to run all the time or is it supposed to pulse to keep pressure and get faster with more acceleration? is seems to pulse nonstop now and is pumping way to much fuel. im not sure how its supposed to run, if u can be of any help its greatly appericated!!!!!   Thank u     Randy Hampton

Answer
Hey Randy,

If your float needles aren't seating, this will cause the pump to run non-stop thus dumping too much fuel somewhere. Weather its in the engine or on the ground. The pump only needs to build up X amount of pressure, then it shuts off. This is why you hear it pump fast in the beginning, then slows down, so it sounds like there is a leak somewhere most likely the float needle.

Hope this helps!
