Motorcycle Repair: 1980 suzuki ts100, exciter coil, wire colors

Question
i have a 1980 suzuki ts100 and the wiring on it is all mixed up and i cant figure out what goes where, if i can just wire it so the engine will run i can go from there but i dont know what to do.

Answer
Scott,

I can't tell you where all the wires go if you
are planning to fix them, you would need
a shop manual with wiring diagrams.
I believe you may have CDI ignition.
The CDI control module or unit handles
all your ignition signals.
The exciter coil under the flywheel
charges the CDI unit, the little
pulser coil signals when to release
this power to the ignition coil
causing a spark.
The kill button grounds the CDI
so it stops functioning.
You can disconnect your kill button,
see if it helps. Check the wiring
coming from the magneto area
to the CDI box.
Check the wires up to the ignition coil.
A manual is very useful at this point.
If the CDI unit is faulty, it needs
to be replaced, there is no accurate
test for these.

WIRE colors:
pulser unit: red/white, goes to CDI unit.
Exciter coil wires going to CDI unit:
black/white
Green
Black/red

Kill switch: black/yellow
Ignition coil to CDI unit
white/blue
and a ground wire, black or green.

-now all you need is compression, a clean carb and fuel.
