Motorcycle Repair: 1980 Kawasaki 440 LTD, kawasaki 440 ltd, thoughs

I have a 1980 Kawasaki 440 LTD, it ran great for a while, but the gas overflowed and since then the carbs have been cleaned 4 times, the hoses and lines have been replaced and checked, the spark plugs have been set and replaced.  But one side seems to be studdering, the left side of the bike seems to run fine, but the right pops and backfires and throws fits to the point that the bike is unrideable.  Tried all I know, any thoughs or suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

Has the overflow issue been resolved?  If it hasn't, that could be part of the problem.  You could have a problem with the ignition coils, carb needle jets or the floats.

Start with those and se what you find.
