Motorcycle Repair: 1996 GSXR 1100, gsxr 1100, spring tension

Hey Chris, cams are out, looking at the valves. Bike wasn't burning any oil prior to this undertaking, rings shot? I'm trying to avoid taking the head off but I have to so I can check spring tension don't I? Really appreciate touching base with you along the way, guess there's some routine preventative maintanence to do while I'm in here. Please let me know what to check to solve my problem, thanks Chris, Dallas

Hi Dallas.

In my response to your earlier post from today I had said that you are on the right track.

At this point, all I can say is to make sure that you have the repair manual for the specs, testing proceedures and disassembly/reassembly proceedures.
