Motorcycle Repair: Brakes, light switches, handle bar

Question
The brake light on my 1995 Sporster stays on when the key is turned on. The brakes themselves are working great but after a recent service the light stays on.
Is there an adjustment somewhere that I should be looking at.

Thank you

Answer
There are two brake light switches. One is at the front brake caliber and the other is in the rear brake line.
I would check the front one first. Looking at the controls for the right handle bar you will notice that it is attached to the handle bar in two sections. These two sections must be tighty pushed together. There is a button behind the master cylinder that is pushed in by the section that has the brake handle.
If that is not the problem then check the rear brake switch to see its its bad. You need a test light to test it.
Good luck and happy riding
