Motorcycle Repair: Wrong Fuel, friend of the family, shively

A friend of the family dumped mixed fuel (2 stroke) into her suzuki 4 stroke 230 quad and ran it until it quit. (2-3 minutes) My daughters girlfriend says the bike now does not start. My daughter has graciously voulentered my services to try and fix the problem. I have not seen the bike or checked it yet. What type of damage might have occured and where should I start trying to trouble shoot beyond the obvious Fuel, Spark and Compression?

Hi Tim,

Flush the fuel from the fuel system.

Usually, no damage occurs rather the spark plugs fouls preventing the engine from starting or running properly.

Remove the spark plug, clean or replace the plug and try starting the engine again.
