Motorcycle Repair: Hyd. Clutch, clutch master cylinder, suzuki intruder 1500

Question
I have a 98 Suzuki Intruder 1500, when it sit's for a month or so the clutch stops working.  Last year I took it to the shop and they replaced the clutch assembly.  What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Answer
Hi Don,

You'll have to describe the problem more thoroughly.

Describe the initial clutch lever pull 'feel' when this problem happens?

Does the clutch lever eventually pump up?

Does the lever resistance feel normal all the time?

Is the brake fluid in the clutch master cylinder appear clear, like new?

Notice any fluid leaks on the ground or any build-up of oily grime on the engine or frame?

Any history of repairs other than the mentioned clutch fix?

Is their a regular or routine history of tune-ups?

Include any details that come to mind. The more I have to review, the more accurate my diagnosis reply will be.
