Motorcycle Repair: no spark snowmobile, point gap, condensers

Question
Mark,
I hope you can give me answer to a snowmobile question.  I have a 1981 polaris cutlass 340 snowmobile.  I received it from a friend and he told me it had no spark.  I replaced external ignition coils,  internal coils, condensers, and points.  I believe the point gap is .016 and what I am asking you is how do you physically gap your points?  Also, how can you do that when you have the magnetic housing that covers the points when you put everything back together?  When I took it all apart I marked everything close to what the original points where placed.  This created no spark when I put it all back together and pulled it.  Please help me Mark or point me in the right direction so someone can.

                Thanks,
                       Erik

Answer
Hi Eric,

Does the magnetic points housing face have holes or slots? If so, the points are accessed through these holes or slots.
