Question

Thanks and Merry Christmas

Answer
Hi Mike,

Thanks for the Holiday Blessings. God be with you and your family.

The usual cause for the click is one or more of the following:

Weak or defective battery.
Loose battery lead or starter motor/solenoid leads.
Corroded or burned starter button contacts.
Worn or defective starter solenoid.

Even if the battery is new it may be defective or not properly serviced prior to being placed into service.

Check battery voltage with a multimeter. Check individual battery cell specific gravity with a Hydrometer designed for small batteries. Recharge or replace the battery accordingly.

Check all electrical connectors for clean, tight connections.

I return tech test and repair information files by email. There was no email address with your question as requested.
