Motorcycle Repair: Displacement, virago 750, beer money

Question
Hey. First, thanks for reading this question. Now, I've got a 1997 Virago 750, and sometimes, at highway speeds, it runs a little low on power. I'm not looking for a Busa, I'd just like a little more kick. I've heard that my Virago uses the same engine as the 1100, but it has sleeves inserted to cut down on the displacement. Would it be possible, or a good idea, to have these sleeves pulled and throw in some new pistons? If so, about how much would that run me and what would be the side-effects? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Tony,

VBisit "www.viragotech.com" and chat with other Virago owner's about thier experiences with that modification.

Expect to pay $300-$400 for the parts, $300-$400 for the labor, just my estimating.

Side-effects include unusual feelings of happiness, wind burned skin, frizzled hair ends, speeding tickets, and less beer money.

Respectfully,
