Motorcycle Repair: Storing extra gas tanks, kitty litter, gas tanks

Mike I bought an extra Harley gas tank online and I want to store it for a few year so the inside does not rust what do you suggest in the ways of storing it. Much appreciated Garry from Ontario Canada

The best way to store it is make sure it is dry inside. Then wrap it in plastic with some kitty litter. Dont get the kitty litter in the tank. You can put the litter in a stocking. It will absorbe the moisture and stop the rusting.
