Motorcycle Repair: 03 suzuki sv650s,surges at all speeds, gasoline additives, suzuki sv650s

Question
My SV 650 S(2003 model) has developed a surge just
recently,to go along with the surge it does not idle as smoothly as before,it almost sounds like
a bad sparkplug, but this bike has less than 5000
miles on it,it is ridden to and from work (about
7 miles each way)rain or shine.
it also seems to hesitate when starting, would a
weak battery cause all of these symtoms? could
it need plugs with so little miles?
I do all my own maint.the oil and filter have been
changed twice in that amount of time, and its been
in the shop for an alignment check-up.
HELP,thanks in advance,Sincerly Don Power

Answer
Hi Don,

The cause of the surging and poor idling may be from more than one condition.

Try and describe how the events leading up to the current condition. Was the MC stored or non-started for any periods? Any gasoline additives used? Recent repairs, modifications, or serivce performed? Describe the appearance of the spark plugs to me. Remember which cylinders they are removed from.

The more details you provide, the better I can reply.
