Motorcycle Repair: honda vlx, honda vlx 600, hi john

Question
I have a '97 Honda VLX 600.  It has only 1,650 miles.  Last summer I had the carbs cleaned because it would only run on full choke and would stop if I tried to give it more gas.  It ran great after the cleaning.  I drained the carbs for the winter and it started up and ran great in May.  It sat for two months and now the same thing has happened again.  It was very costly to have the carbs cleaned a year ago.  Is there anything I can do to get it to run properly?  I don't want to dish out this fee every year.  Obviously I don't get a chance to ride often.

Answer
Hi John,

Cleaning varnsihed carburetors is the number one repair performed each spring.

I can send tech information files to help you clean the carbs and prevent this from happening again.

I'll need your email address as requested.
