Motorcycle Repair: air/fuel mixture, suzuki gsx750, air fuel mixture

i have a 1983 Suzuki GSX750 es, I had the carbs synchronized and the technician told me it was sucking air from somewhere, as to where is a mystery.The only way to start the bike I've found is to leave the choke off, twist the throttle slightly and block the air intake. Any help would be much appreciated.

You'll have to find the source of the air leak, if any.
