Motorcycle Repair: Electrical problem w/1982 Honda CB900C, honda cb 900, rotor stator

Question
My name is Maurice ( MO ).My 1982 Honda CB 900 C has an electrical problem that I cannot figure out. I have replaced the rotor, stator,& regulator/rectifier. I have also replaced the battery. The Bike crank's and runs great(after a battery charge)for maybe 10 miles, then will not crank untill I recharge the battery.
Is there anything else that would prevent the battery from charging while the engine in running?
If you can help me solve this problem,I will be eternally grateful.
Thanks in advance ( MO )

Answer
Hi Mo,

Have you tested the battery? Check voltage and specific gravity of each cell.

All electrical connections must be clean and tightly connected.

It's possible to receive defective new parts. Check integrity of new parts.

Visit "www.electrosport.com" and follow their "Fault Finding Chart" I recommend their fine quality replacement parts over EOM parts.

Check wiring for defects and loose connections.

Check ground connections for clean, tightly fastened connections.

Otherwise, I would need to perfrom a few checks to accurately diagnose the problem.
