Motorcycle Repair: SE performance heads, stock pistons, rb racing

Question
04 FXDLI

Johny, I want to keep the stock piston theme but am trying to eliminate all the other restrictions and this is what I'm trying to decide on...SE performance heads (not the SE HTCC performance heads--just the SE performance heads) with a SE211 cam.  I understand I'll have to upgrade to higher studs...my question is, should I consider upgrading the stock 38mm fuel injection to the SE 43mm fuel injection with these performance heads or would those heads be still restrict the air fuel and, would the stock pistons be able to handle the better flowing air/fuel?  I'm sticking with the SE air and the RB racing lsr2-1 pipes.

Answer
Hello Keyy Brown.
You wont like what I have to say but you asked. The SE Heads are total Junk. Sent your stock heads to Dan Baisley In Portland Or. And have Him Install bigger exhaust valves and set up the valve geometery and rocker arm geometery. Dont use the paper weight SE 211 cams. I have taken more of them out, then Harley Davidson has put in. I would go to the Bobby Wood TW9G cams with gear drive and + 4 key way, I would also install a Bobby wood 340 CFM hi flow air filter kit. The Screaming Beagle air filter flows only 135 CFM. and as far a exhaust Nothing beats the Cycle Shack 2" PHD duels stepped pipes, Now you will be making some real Power and torque.  Johnny
