I hope you could help me ,the carbs were cleaned and now I cant get the rpms to come down I tried to get the idle down with the set screw that is inbetween both carbs but one or three more turns and it will fall out.has also a little bog when I give it gas Im hopping its not the diaphrams there very costly .If you can in any way help me I would appritiate that.Thank you for taking your time to to us who dont know. The ninja is a 1999 model twin cam sorry I dont know the full history but I do know it has been sitting up for about 1-2 years.

Answer
Not my regular brand, but I suspect that either one of the vacuum hoses wasn't connected or the air cut valve diaphragm is damaged or has a small pinhole in it. This valve is mounted on a bracket on the side of one of the carbs, according to the online microfiche services.

Register and log in to see drawings of your machine's parts.

The diaphragms for the slides also need to be sealed tightly and have no pin holes, of course. Air cut valves can be found on Ebay from several sellers or from motorcycle shops that carry Keyster or NAPCO or K&L products. The big ones are OEM only, as you know.
