Motorcycle Repair: 920 Virago Starter Noise, starter motor problems, virago 920

Question
I have a 1983 Virago 920 it has a lot of starter noise when you start it. Is there an adaptor kit or some type of a starter to install and eliminate this noise?

Hi Dwayne.
 There's not a lot to be done about the starter noise.  I have never heard of any kit to make the starter motor quieter.  The important thing is that it works.  I rebuilt the starter on my 86 XV700 about 5 times in 6 years to keep it working.  Virago's are notorious for having starter motor problems which Yamaha never, to the best of my knowledge, fixed.
