Motorcycle Repair: 2002 R6 electrical problems, yamaha r6, gauge cluster

Question
Hello Mark Shively, I have a question regarding my 2002 Yamaha R6.  I recently laid the bike down at around 15-20 mph, and ever since some of the electrical functions of the bike are not working properly. The low gas light is always on, the speedometer displays incorrect speeds(reads that im going 19 mph while idling at a standstill), the kickstand killswitch doesnt work, turn signals dont work and neither do the brake lights. Tachometer works fine as well as temp gauge. I have taken most of the fairings off and reconnected harnesses but to no avail. Could I have broken the gauge cluster somehow on the drop or perhaps something else? Thank you for your time and any input would greatly be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Luke,

I think the shock from the fall may have damaged a circuit board or semi-conductor. Your problem seems to be common with R6 falls. Maybe another R6 owner can offer more intel.

Check wiring connections and bulbs for turn signal problem.

Does side stand sw have continuity bewteen the leads?
