QuestionQUESTION: Hi, I have a 99 Nissan Altima that after a battery and alternator replacement, speedometer, tachometer, power windows and locks, blower motor, temperature gauge, turn signals all dont not work anymore. I have checked every fuse every relay and replace them all and replace the fuse box because on the turn signal fuse if I inserted a jumper wire from one working port in the fuse box to the one for the turn signals and they worked. I thought it was a bad pork so I got a new fuse box for it and still the same problem. I'm kind of stuck, I don't know what else to do. Does anybody have any idea to point me in the right direction? I would really appreciate it! Thank you

You can check on a couple of things.
First of all, ensure that when the battery was replaced, all the wires to the positive battery terminal were re-connected. I believe this year Altima has an auxillary cable connected to this terminal, I think either 10 or 8 gauge. It may have been missed during the replacement.
Secondly, did you check the large circuit fuse box? This is the one located in the engine compartment, driver's side on the fender well. If anything was shorted, the larger amp fuses will be impacted.

QUESTION: I have checked that fuse box you were referring to and I have not found a fuse that was blown. There was a very small wire sitting by the battery that was not connected to anything but I do not believe it was for that. How ever I did connect it and still no results. That wire however was not an eight or 10 guage and appeared to be more like 16 gauge.
Another person who originally tried changing the alternator, it wasn't me. He cut some wires that goes to the alternator because originally we thought we were going to junk the car. No the wires that he did cut or not the connector that goes into the alternator and the one that bolts to the back of the alternator wasn't cut either. It would be easier for me to send you a picture of what I did to those wires. I could send you a picture of what I did and I don't know if that is correct or not but the car runs just nothing else works. I really need someones help with this because the car that I'm driving now has a tranny problem and the Nissan is my back up.
The picture I am attaching, the two wires with the connectors are what I fixed. The idiot who cut them said they went to the back of the alternator.

Yes, you can remove that 16GA wire that is not it. However the 2 wires at the alternator could very well be the ones. Those look like the gauge for the accessories that are not working. Did you install that yellow bullet connector? Where does either end go? It is hard to depict in the photo.
Also those fuses you checked, can you tell me if they have power with the ignition on? If not, check if the incoming wire to that fuse box has power.

QUESTION: Okay so those wires with the connectors on it run through the cluster onto the fender on the passenger side to ground. I tried to look those up to the positive with no luck. However I did check the main fuses, main fuse 2 has no power on either side. And for the record the positive battery cable only has one connector going to the battery however there is another wire connected to that connector which is probably like you said the auxiliary. I wonder if new cables will do the trick? These ones aren't in the greatest shape but I should still go to get something out of them. What do you think?

Looks like you need to get power to the fuse2. You might want to run a jumper wire from positive battery terminal to the battery side of that fuse and see if the accessories work.
I believe the wire that was cut is part of that circuit.
