QUESTION: Hello Calvin
I have a 1992 Nissan Pulsar J1J,this morning I went to start the car and wouldnt start,when i turn the key the catylac converter light comes on only when key is turned,and there is a clicking sound coming from right hand of dash when turn the key.

any help appreciated.Cheers

ANSWER: Hi Riki -

This is usually the battery. Have you checked that?

If not the battery, check the connections to the battery, including the battery terminals themselves.

LMK if this is not the problem and I will take you to the next step.

QUESTION: i checked the battery and connections were good,everthing electrical worked it just wont even turn over

Hi Riki

Looks like it may be the starter. Locate the starter and tap it firmly with a metal rod or hammer.

Then try starting the car. Tapping it releases the carbon build up and a lot of times will start the car, however the starter still should be replaced.
