Nissan Repair: 2006 Chevy Cobalt Follow-up

Question
Hi Mr. Iwashita, it's David Brown again with the 2000 Nissan Maxima Rheostat problem and the 06 cobalt. It would not let me post another follow up question. To answer your last question... yes, all 4 wheel's were balanced when they were put on. It doesn't seem to be just the steering wheel, but rather the whole front end of the car.

Answer
Hi David -

Sorry for the late reply.
Have you checked the idler arm and tie rod ends?
Most likely that would be your problem with the shuddering at certain speeds.
Alternately it could be the struts, but check the suspension first.
As I mentioned, if you lift the wheels off the ground and move the wheel from side to side, you can determine if there is excessive play.

Hope this helps -
aloha
