Nissan Repair: car, nissan pintara, valve seals

i have a 1989 nissan pintara and it is blow blue smoke i have replaced one of the fuel injeckters but is is still blowing smoke it was blowing a little smoke when i got the car but it is blowing more and wont stay runing like before it was going good before please help me on what to do and try and fix it

Hi Brian -

Blue smoke is usually caused by the car burning oil.

Could be bad valve seals, especially when it is more apparent when first starting the car. Replacing valve seals is usually a simple job and can be done without removal of engine heads.

If it is occuring more during driving at higher speeds, check the compression of the engine on each cylinder. If the compression is bad, then it is cylinder rings and you are looking at an engine overhaul.
