Question
i have a 1994 nissan altima gxe just redid a mass airflow sensor and now the check engine light is on and have done a full walkthrough to make sure everything is hooked up but i need to know where to locate the codes for the check engine light to see what is happening.
thank you

Answer
Hi Nicolas,

What was done to the MAF? Perhaps that could have caused the CEL to light?

The codes are extracted using an OBD (On Board Diagnostic) that plugs into your car's CPU and reads the codes. You can have that done at Autozone, or your mechanic's shop should have one. Unless you are doing this as a business, it would not make sense to get your own OBD, as it is very expensive.

Hope this helps -
