Nissan Repair: 2002 Nissan Xterra engine lite, nissan xterra 2002, nissan xterra

The service engine lite is on our Nissan xterra 2002 4 cyclinder SUV...and the diagnostic reading

is showing that the first cylinder is not firing...

the engine has been rebuilt and we have taken it back over for the

rebuilder's to correct and the lite is still on ...the reading is

still showing first cyclinder not firing...any ideas...

We have replaced the spark plugs and wires

distributor is new...and replaced many other things. The car is running fine but, I need to get it inspected and I do not want this to get out of warranty and find that something was really wrong...please, if you can help.

PS..I have been told that it could be the fuel injector, but I don't see any signs of that...

Hi Linda -

If the engine is running fine, then I doubt if it is an injector, or any further issues with the coil.

Anyway, after the repair, were the codes cleared? Sometimes you have to clear them with an OBD, they will not go away when the repair is made.
