Nissan Repair: NISSAN PATHFINDER 2007, nissan pathfinder, compression gauge

Question
THE PRESURE HOW TO CHECK , BESIDE HOW TO CHECK THE COMPROSOR EFFICIENCY

Answer
Hany,

Get a compression gauge.  You can rent them from a parts store.  Take all the spark plugs out.  Remove the fuel pump fuse.  Screw in the gauge into the first hole and crank over the engine a few turns.  Note the compression.  Write it down and repeat the process for all spark plug holes.  Now, squirt oil, about a teaspoon full, in each hole and repeat the process.  If the compression goes up the rings are bad.  If it stays the same the compression is what it is and if any are down by more than ten percent the rings on that cylinder are defective.
