ANSWER: Hi Kyle -

One lead goes to the coil, one to the battery, and if supplied one to ground.

These are just generic answers, I would need the manufacturer of the tach, and size of your engine

the engine size. Could you tell me the best way to install this model
tachometer. Also... What tools are required? How long will this take?

The link does not seem to work. However, you will just need basic tools, such as a small wrench or socket set with ratchet, wire cutters/crimper. If you are buying this new, then it should give you detailed instructions on the tools you need, and connection specs.

Allow about one hour for installation, maybe less.

Where do you want to mount this tach?
