RV Repair: 84 24 Pace Arrow motor home, vent tubes, gasoline tank

Question
How do I drop the main gasoline tank? I need to replace hoses and fuel sending unit.

How do I get to the main gas (LP) valve on the furnace? it is leaking propane if I open the main system valve.

Hi Brett:
Not a nice job. Tank is held up by 2-3 metal straps. You have to loosen the filler and vent tubes (can be hard to reach and loosen). You will need two floorjacks one on each end of the tank. You undo the straps while holding up the tank with the jacks then lower it gently. Fuel lines and wires will reach to the ground. You will need a fuel line lock removal tool to take the lines off, available at most parts houses. Much easier when tank is empty or close to it. Sender is in the pump/sender assembly.
