Nissan Repair: electrical and misc!, windshield washer fluid, barometric pressure sensor

Question
I received a 1997 Pathfinder from a Friend just as a gift and the truck was not taken care of very much! The back window was stuck in the open position (fixed) the sun roof never worked since the owned it (fixed) the head lights where spot lighting the ground three feet in front of the truck (fixed) and the back door loccks as well as the windows were inop (fixed). Also the back wiper motor was stuck ON all the time so he Disconnected it from the switch! Point being Most things I am running across is because wires are not connected! Could the problem with the rear wiper be the Switch on Dash!
And also the windshield washer fluid won't work! I cleaned out the washer resevior from broken plastic to LOTS of thick green MOLD! I think and hope I cleaned the two pumps out good enough! But then started to trace the hoses and the (1) main from the resevior to the Hood was (unplugged) and the MAIN 1 to where ever (pump) what ever was (or is not) connected to anything and the end was under pass fender above the wheel well guard! Just where is the pump that this hose is to be attached to!!!!! THANKS for yoyr help in this!
And while trying to locate this problem there was a loose wire that goes to a component attached to the Pass side frame under hood, looks like a HORN but of course is not! What could this possibly be!
   THANKS Once Again. Donald S.

Answer
Don,

The pump should be at the bottom of the tank where you found the green fluid.  I have seen this too.  If it is not attached to the tank follow the hose to the wipers and it will be found.  Usually, low in the system.  The wire that connects to that device should be the barometric pressure sensor so it should be fine.
