Calvin,  My Nissan is acting funny.  It will start then when immediately shut off it will not start again.  The gear shift will not shift to neutral, and this morning the key got stuck, not to mention that the lights are flickering (Dash and key light).  In the past when this happened we rocked the car and it seemed to work.  Well I am not at home and my wife is having to deal with this problem.  It sounds like there is a short in the starting system somewhere.  Also the Battery cable is always heavily corroded.  I am not a mechanic. Any Ideas?????

Hi Tom -

First and foremost I would clean and/or replace the battery terminals. this could definitely cause your issues with the ignition, and stalling out.

The key is probably getting stuck because the steering wheel was not straight when the key was removed the last time. Move the steering wheel left and right while turning the key and you should be fine.
