Nissan Repair: Crankshaft Pulley, crankshaft pulley, dampener

Question
My crankshaft pulley has been very wobbly and it has also been squeaking very loud and high pitched. I thought the squeaking was the belt at first so i got a brand new one and the squeaking hasn't stopped. I noticed if I spray some wd40 on it the squeaking stops for about 5 minutes then comes back and that's when i realized the problem was very serious. I don't know what it is and no one around me knows what it is neither. So that's why I turned to you guys with some hope on figuring out what i need to do. I hope you guys can help me and hope to hear from you soon. If you need anymore info please just let me know. Thanks

Answer
Ashley,

First, the bolt or bolts could be loose that hold the dampener to the crank.  Or the pulley could be loose.  Next, the elastomer ring, rubber between the crank dampener and pulley surface could be worn beyond limits.  First, tighten the bolts and if that is not it replace the dampener.
