Question
QUESTION: 2002 nissan sentra gxe 1.8 motor code problem it shows up 1102 anybody know what this code is thanks in advance

ANSWER: Kristie,

The P1102 is the mass airflow sensor function heater.  Sentra vehicles have problems with the mass airflow sensors.  I would check the relay first and if it is good replace the mass airflow sensor and reset the computer.

QUESTION: so ive rplaced my o2 sensor about to replace the maf.is there anyway that it could be wiring.my speedomter light doesnt work and ive replaced the fuel pump

Answer
Kristie,

Go to Autozone or Checker and they will check the codes for free.  Next, purchase a Haynes Manual and a digital volt ohm meter.  Follow the directions to check the MAF before you purchase one.  The problem with Nissan cars is that they will have a bad MAF and not throw a code.  The only way to know for sure is to check it or replace it if you have one on the bench.  You would be spending the money for a MAF and I do not what you to do it unless we know for sure.  Once it is verified and replaced then have the codes cleared or disconnect the battery for five minutes to clear the codes.

The instrument light for the speedometer can be replaced by removing the instrument cluster and removing the bulbs from the back.  Go to Radio Shack and match yours up.  They cost about $1 at Radio Shack.  At the dealer it is $10 bucks for 2 bulbs.

Keep a quarter of a tank of gas at all times, or most of the time, since the fuel cools the pump.  If a car is run low and the pump is in the tank, like yours, it will cause the pump to fail sooner than it should.
