Nissan Repair: I need help, nissan primera 1995, glow plugs

Question
Almost every morning i find difficulty in sparking my nissan primera 1995 model, the battery has been changed and the ignition has been checked but the problem persists. Please help me find solution to this problem.

Answer
Margaret,

Sounds like the car has a cold start issue.  Is it fuel injected or does it have a carburetor?  If fuel injected the cold start sensor is probably the issue.  The computer uses a temperature senor, not the one for the gauge, to determine the car is cold.  It uses this sensor to go into rich mode.  Second, if it has a carburetor, the choke is probably not working.  Now, if it is a diesel, and they do make the Primera as a diesel, it could be that the glow plugs are not working properly.  There is a temperature sensor and a timed relay for these.  Email me back and let me know which engine you have.
