Nissan Repair: 89 nissan pulsar, head gasket, nissan pulsar

i got a 89 pulsar cranks over but wont start. gets fuel and has spark.has good compression in the two outter cylinders but the two middle ones have low compression but are just about the same. any idea what might be them problem? head gasket???

I will need more info, as it is difficult to diagnose without the car in front of me.

When you say the 2 middle cyliniders have low compression, how low is it? Can you give me the numbers for all cylinders? Maximum difference between cylinders chould be about 10%

How did the car get to this no-start condition? Was it overheated, just died on the road, or was it repaired, and then did not start?

How was the spark and fuel checked?
