Nissan Repair: TBI, crank angle sensor, throttle body injection

Question
Why injectors cut off

Answer
Robert,

I will assume this is a throttle body injection car.  Anyway, the hall effect crank angle sensor or the optical shutter wheel in the distributor provides a signal to the computer to ground the relay that controls the TBI unit.  If the relay is defective or the fuse is blown or the crank angle sensor is defective or the optical shutter wheel is contaminated with oil or even the wiring or connectors are compromised the injectors will not work.  Now, if they are firing and there is no fuel due to a defective fuel pump that would cause them not to deliver fuel too.
