Nissan Repair: 06 Nissan Pathfinder transmission oil cooler, transmission oil cooler, nissan pathfinder

Is this has failed is it considered part of the transmission or the radiator?  My extended warranty is telling me it is not covered because the failure was due to the radiator.

The transmission oil cooler is part of the radiator, although it is a totally different system. However can you tell me what happened to the radiator? And why and how was it determined that the transmission cooler failed? Did your vehicle overheat?
