Nissan Repair: vaccum pressure, vacuum booster, diaphram

Question
when i pres the brake hard it will occasionally  stall the truck. its a 1993 nissan pick up 4 cylinder. i have heard it might be the idle of the vaccum pressure. and other ideas? or possibly how to fix the problem

Answer
Jason,

A couple of things.

You could check the idle speed of the vehicle and make sure it is not too low to start with.  If too low the idle cannot compensate.

Second, the vacuum booster check valve could be leaking or the diaphram in the booster itself could have a leak and stomping on the brakes takes too much vacuum.

Check these out and let me know what you find.
