Nissan Repair: drive axel 98 200sx 1.6L, drive shaft, prybar

Question
QUESTION: k i took the nut and bolts off and got the drive axel free from the brake caliber (i think thats wat its called) and now i go to pull out the drive axel and it wont come out at all u have any suggetions. the drive axel on the passenger side is the one im talkin bout. im taking out the engine.

ANSWER: Scott,

Front wheel drive requires that the tie rod end and the spindle be loosened to allow enough room to get the drive shaft out.  Also, you need to use lubricant to aid in the removal of the drive shaft.  The inside simply pops out of the transmission.

QUESTION: ok so i got enough room? and then all i have to do is spray from lube in there where it connects to the transmission and it should pop out?

Answer
Scott,

No lube required.  All you need is a large screwdriver or prybar and a little pop and it comes out.  There is a spring clip that holds it in the transmission.  You catch it on the edge and then pry against the transmission case and the driveshaft actually pops out.
