Nissan Repair: 1993 240SX engine sputtering, coolant temp, mechanic friend

Question
QUESTION: Hello Mr. Sudderth, about 5 months ago I bought a '93 240sx and enjoyed the car much at first, but after a couple of weeks, the car became plagued with different problems! I will begin by asking about the biggest problem, the engine bogging under acceleration and sputtering randomly.
I have a mechanic friend who pulled a code for the swirl control valve from this car and I'd like to know if this could be the cause of the sputtering. the things I have replaced are:
the plugs, wires, fuel filter, the whole distributor, the maf, the coolant temp sensor and I have Seafomed it!
is there anything else besides the swirl control valve that could cause these "symptoms"? I was thinking of going to the local junk yard and pulling a swirl valve from another ka24de and also wanted to know if I could pull one of an altima or other car with the same engine?
that was a bit long winded, my apologies! so far I have not been able to find my exact problem with a definitive answer online but I looked through your Nissan answers and found similar cases.
thanks for taking the time in reading this!

ANSWER: Elmer,

Yes, repalce the swirl control valve and clear that code.  The sputtering is probably due to the distributor being contaminated with oil.  Disassemble the distributor by removing the cap, rotor, rotor post and cover and you will get to the optical shutter wheel.  Works kind of like the computer mouse.  The disc gets oil on it and screws with the coil firing and that causes the stumble.  If there is oil replace the distributor with a rebuilt unit.

QUESTION: thanks for the reply, it took me a while to respond, I couldn't find the parts I need.

I was able to replace the swirl control valve, the actuator and the solenoid but still had no success in getting rid of the engine sputter. I replaced the MAF with a working unit and could definitely hear the air being sucked in now, but it is still sputtering. I replaced the distributor with one of a friends car who swapped engines, it was working well for him, but it continues to sputter. there are no codes throw either. do you know of anything else I could check? thanks!

Answer
Elmer,

You have addressed all the usual suspects.  Now, we'll start looking at things like the injectors being plugged or defective.  Get a digital volt ohm meter and check the injectors for proper values.  You should be close to 15 ohms for each injector.  Check out the following link.  Also, check the converter to see if it is plugging up.
