Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: cooling fan, buick skylark, fuse block

We have a 89 Buick Skylark, cooling fan does not kick on, when you jump accrossed it, it works, any suggestions.

Hello Holly,
First find the fuse and check it. If it is ak, check the connectors, and find the relay, which may be on the left fender area, or the fuse block. Probably the fuse block under the hood. You can test the relay by swaping it with one of the other relays that have the same numbers. They are interchangable.
If the relay is good, then a temperature sensor in the engine may be what you need.
