Nissan Repair: alternator, holes, belt run

I was just wondering if the alternator is located on the top or bottom.. repair guy states it runs higher for bottom.. thanks

Hi Shawn -

I will need to know the year, make and model in order to determine that.

Reason for the cost difference is because it is more difficult(labor wise) to replace an alternator with it at the bottom of the belt run.

You can check it yourself. Find the drive belt(s) at the front of the engine. It should run the A/C, steering, and alternator. The alternator is silver with slotted holes on the side.
