Nissan Repair: Water Leak from Passenger Side Headliner, nissan pathfinder, drain tubes

Question
I have a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder.  When it rains, the headliner near the ceiling - handgrip on the passenger side of the truck leaks water.  It is enough water to cause the front seat to be soaked.  I checked the door seal, and it looks fine.

Answer
Hi Adam -

Have you checked the sun roof, if so equipped?

First check the main seal around the sun roof for cracks or breaks.

There are alos 4 drain tubes that drain water from your sun roof, 2 go to the front of the vehicle to drain, and 2 go to the rear. These tubes may be disconnected, or clogged, thus backing water up and draining through the bolt holes for the handle. Take compressed air and clear the tubes.

Hope this helps -
