Nissan Repair: 1996 Maxima, cv boots, cv axle

Question
Every since I've purchased this car there has been minor problems, now I have to replace the front struts and cv axle in the next month or so and now I find myself in another bind. Now my 1996 Maxima is stalling when I have to brake quickly, I then have to place it in park and then drive in order for it to move and this has been happening for a few days what could be the problem now...I just had to replace the exhaust (flex pipe) for $300.00 and the mechanic stated that there were codes when he did the diag. but didn't tell me anything can you please suggest a good mech. In Philadelphia .HELP

Answer
Sereka,

Get another mechanic.  Nex, go to Autozone or Checker, your choice of parts store, to get the codes read and email me back and we will narrow the problem down.  The CV boots if torn require replacement.  If the car is not bouncing or making a clunking noise in the front the struts should be fine.  I am in Vegas so I do not know of a good shop in your town.  Word of mouth is usually the best when it comes to a mechanic you can trust.  Ask your co-workers and friends.  But, do get the codes read and email me back with what they are...
